Daphne Eleanor Iking

Who is Daphne Eleanor Iking?. ..Through some researches;
Daphne initially wanted to take up medicine. Thanks to her mother’s hunch, she changed her degree choice to Communications and has not looked back. While completing her Master Degree in Screen Studies at USM, she applied for a job as a journalist at TV3 back in 2003. 2 months later, she was given the opportunity to host a personal finance program Ringgit Sense.A few months later, she received an offer to host reality gameshow, Explorace (TV3).
After 2 seasons of running around in the wilderness, Daphne yearned to go back to production. She went back to financial reporting when she hosted the PNB World Investment Challenge (TV3). Being a gunners fan, she jumped at the opportunity to host Vector Challenge (8TV), a football reality show early 2005.Being more comfortable presenting in English, Daphne took up the dare of hosting in both English & Malay for the May/Antabax Health & Beauty Capsules (TV3). This led her to do more reporting in one of TV3’s highest rated programmes, Majalah Tiga.
Soon after, she took the challenge of hosting Wanita Hari Ini (TV3) LIVE in malay- a language she was not completely fluent with.End 2005, an opportunity to host as well as write the script for the travelogue, MY Australian Adventure (TV3 & 8TV) popped by together with an offer to act on 8TV’s KL Lights- her first acting debut. On January 2006, Daphne was promoted and transferred from TV3 to work as the Assistant Producer and Presenter of The Breakfast Show on ntv7.
Since then, she has anchored another season of MY Australian Adventure 2 and got hitched! Now a freelance presenter, Daphne continues her hosting stint on The Breakfast Show and MyStarz LG (TV3 & ntv7) having just completed her first tele-movie with Double Vision and another reality show, Celebrity Cookout (ntv7). She has also been asked to contribute in Air Asia's in flight magazine!
Her plans for the near future includes going back to school, (there’s always room for improvement she claims!) going theatrical, spinning music and taking on the role as a first time mother.

Che'Nelle Lim

As been reported,
As a little girl growing up in Kota Kinabalu, Che'Nelle, whose real name is Cheryline Lim, could never be found without a microphone in hand belting out evergreen hits at her father's karaoke lounge. The plucky girl would also make up her own lyrics to sing during her sessions."Karaoke taught me that the type of song didn't matter. It was more about feel and just singing with passion."So I was influenced by many artistes from Whitney Houston and Elvis to Tom Jones and The Carpenters.
"Later I would listen to people like Ella Fitzgerald, India Arie and Musiq Soulchild," says Che'Nelle. At the age of 10, Che'Nelle, who is of Chinese and Indian-Dutch parentage, moved to Perth with her mother and younger brother.
She later enrolled at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts to study music and discovered a love for writing songs"The thing I like most about the music-making process is that I get to express myself through my lyrics. "Everyone has their own way of self-healing, whether it's through meditation or painting beautiful artwork.
"Performing is my physical release and writing, my mental equivalent," says Che'Nelle.
Following the example of other empowered female artistes such as Alicia Keys and Missy Elliot, who are all-in-one singers, songwriters and producers, Che'Nelle recorded her songs in her bedroom studio using Pro Tools.
She wrote 10 of the songs on Things Happen For A Reason and collaborated with big-time producers James Poyser, Sean Garrett, and Rich Harrison.
Songs like Club Jumpin, Hurry Up and I Fell In Love With The DJ have an infectious cheeky feel to it.
"Yes, it's cheeky all right but never nasty," she assures."There are also deep and meaningful songs taken from personal experiences that I think people can relate to. It's very me."
Her song, Teach Me How To Dance was featured in the Antonio Banderas dance vehicle, Take The Lead.Possessing exotic features coupled with a svelte, taut frame, Che'Nelle confesses that she's just an ordinary girl, cooking being her great interest. "I make a mean curry, something I picked up from my mum.
"I also love entertaining friends, so I'll have them over and have a cookout."Other than that I workout at the gym, watch films and go clubbing just like everyone else. I'm just the girl next door," she says.Che'Nelle makes an effort to come home once in awhile to visit her father, a civil engineer and architect based in China, who travels back to Kota Kinabalu often.
"The last I was here in Malaysia was for Chinese New Year. I'd return every two years," she says. "I hope to create a positive movement with my music, to show people, especially those in Asia, that dreams do come true. "Just believe in yourself and hold on to your dreams, no matter what.
"If I can do it, so can you."

Sabah

A region of Malaysia in northeastern Borneo. Sabah is a Malaysian state located on the northern portion of the island of Borneo. It is the second largest state in Malaysia after the state of Sarawak which it borders with on its south-west. It also borders with the province of East Kalimantan of Indonesia in the south. Sabah used to be a British crown colony known as North Borneo prior to partnership with Federation of Malaya, Sarawak & Singapore to form the Federation of Malaysia in 1963. Its state capital is Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton. Sabah is known as Sabah, negeri di bawah bayu, which means 'Sabah, land below the wind', because of its location being just south of the typhoon prone region around Philippines.
